The challenge
An e-invoicing platform already in play needed its invoice and tax calculation logic and its LHDN and PEPPOL integrations made dependable. Bulk submission added a second problem: both authorities enforce rate limits that a batch run must not cross.
The approach
Took ownership of the codebase and stabilised it — correcting the calculation logic and the compliance integrations — then put a BullMQ queue in front of submission so bulk runs are throttled to stay within LHDN and Storecove limits.
What it took
Corrected complex invoice and tax calculation logic.
Repaired the LHDN and PEPPOL integrations, the latter through Storecove.
Built a BullMQ queue system throttling bulk e-invoice submission so it stays inside both authorities' rate limits.
Express.js and MongoDB backend, containerised with Docker on Google Compute Engine.
File upload through SFTP Go; verification codes and login email over SMTP.
