The challenge
Money lent between individuals is usually tracked in notes and memory. Repayment schedules drift, and there is no record either side can point at.
The approach
A system that records loan details, calculates installments automatically, and lets borrowers pay online — with receipt upload and admin approval closing the loop.
What it took
NestJS backend exposing a GraphQL API, with MySQL through TypeORM.
User registration, loan tracking and automated installment calculation.
Online payments, receipt upload with admin approval, and loan analytics.
