The challenge
Awantec needed to show prospective clients it could deliver real AI products on Google Cloud — not describe them. That meant two production products, and the cloud environment to run them, built from nothing.
The approach
Awanbot+ and Awanlytics, both shipped on Cloud Run with their architecture designed from scratch: networking, CI/CD and database provisioning, behind a multi-tenant NestJS backend. The launch is what convinced clients Awantec could deliver AI on Google Cloud.
What it took
Awanbot+: Next.js on Cloud Run, MongoDB Atlas for data, Vertex AI for its LLM capabilities.
Awanlytics: Next.js on Cloud Run, PostgreSQL on Cloud SQL, Redis on Memorystore for caching and session management.
Designed and built the cloud architecture for both from scratch — networking, CI/CD and database provisioning.
Multi-tenant NestJS backend secured with RBAC, API rate limiting and Google OAuth.
CI/CD through GitHub Actions and Google Cloud, containerised with Docker across Cloud Run and VM instances.
